RME, Gantry and Infeed Building

Over the last few months Centristic’s in house installation team have been erecting the Roller Mill extension building, gantry conveyor and infeed building for a major clay processing company at one of their Newton Abbot sites. The two buildings and gantry are comprised of galvanised steel work, detailed and fabricated at our offices and workshop in Heathfield.

Centristic’s in house 3D design team modeled in numerous free issue items, including ducting and pipes, to ensure the best fit inside the building and detail suitable access and maintenance platforms. Most importantly the building had been designed around the roller mill and the accurate design and fabrication concluded with the successful four-stage installation of a Roller mill using a 60 ton capacity forklift and a crane system built into the building itself.

With this project nearing completion our site team are currently finalising the finishing touches such as cladding, flashing and installation of personnel doors. Testing and commissioning is due to start on schedule early next year. Everyone concerned is pleased with progress and the quality of the install, and we are all looking forward to seeing the plant up running.
