Centristic has begun the erection of a major extension to the 90 Building for a clay processing company near Newton Abbot. The 200 tonne structure is part of the Roller Mill project which also includes an in feed building and a gantry conveyor. The extension, internal access platforms, ducting and a substantial amount of free issue equipment, was modelled in to a single 3d model by Centristic’s in house design team. This meant every item, however large or complex, was integrated into the whole. The model could be viewed remotely by the client. Maintenance access and clearances could be designed in, clearly understood and agreed upon prior to any fabrication or deliveries to site.
